Does GTA 6 have online?
No. GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 as a single-player game: Rockstar calls it "a single player experience" and hasn't announced an online mode, name or date. Will GTA 6 have online multiplayer?
Probably at some point, but nothing official exists yet. Rockstar's only statement is that GTA 6 is a single-player experience. Take-Two hasn't named or dated an online mode either, and its CEO only talks about supporting the GTA Online that already exists. What the single-player game itself includes is on GTA 6 gameplay. The one date in circulation, 2027, comes from Twitch, not from Rockstar.
How long after GTA 5 did GTA Online arrive?
Two weeks. GTA 5 launched on 17 September 2013 as a story game, and GTA Online opened on 1 October 2013. That's a precedent, not a prediction: if the Twitch CEO is right, the wait for GTA 6 will be much longer.
What happens to GTA Online when GTA 6 launches?
It carries on. Take-Two's CEO said on the August 2026 earnings call: "we do expect to support GTA Online going forward." Nobody has said whether your GTA Online character, cars or money will ever move to GTA 6.
Why do GTA 6 pre-orders come with GTA+?
Digital pre-orders from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store include a free month of GTA+, which today is a membership for GTA Online. Rockstar hasn't said what GTA+ adds to GTA 6 itself. Details are on how to pre-order GTA 6.
